Swissotel Merchant Court Ellenborough Market Café is making the dining and epicurean escapade with tantalizing specials each month. I was invited for a media tasting few weeks back for a sneak preview on what are the upcoming delicacies to offer to diners.
FOR THE APRIL MONTH
Ellenborough Market Café is including the U.S. Prime Ribs of Beef for dinner buffet starting 3-30 April 2017. Diners can savour the hearty flavour of the beef in addition of local and Peranakan favourites in the buffet spread.

Foie Gras Terrine with Grape Compote
Foie Gras Mousse with Port Wine Jelly
Five Spice Dusted Seared Foie Gras with Mango Relish, Balsamic Reduction
For Foie Gras lovers, please mark your calendar. You can enjoy Foie Gras Galore from 8-28 May 2017. The foie gras will prepare in three ways; Foie Gras Terrine with Grape Compote, Foie Gras Mousse with Port Wine Jelly and Five Spice Dusted Seared Foie Gras with Mango Relish, Balsamic Reduction. My favourite was the Foie Gras Terrine with Grape Compote. It is quite rare to have foie gras in the buffet spread due to the cost factor in.

FOR THE JUNE MONTH
Kam Hiong Crab
Soft Shell Crabs
Ginger Scallion Flower Crab Bee Hoon
As for this month, diners will get to enjoy over 10 crab creations including Flower Crab, Alaskan Snow Crab, Gerang Assam Flower Crab, Crispy Soft Shell crab complement the Ginger Scallion Flower Crab Bee Hoon, Crabmeat Fried Rice with Asparagus and Tobiko Tartare Sauce and Teochew Cold Crab. The buffet spread also includes Thai Style Black Pepper Crab, Salad of Hokkaido Crabmeat with Apple and Walnut and Crabmeat Kueh Pie Tee.
