[SG EATS] Beauty In The Pot At The Centrepoint In Orchard Road

Beauty in The Pot by Paradise Group has been one of the popular hotpot in town apart from Hai Di Lao. They opened their second outlet at The Centrepoint, Orchard Road which is easily accessible via Somerset MRT Station.I visited the place twice in different occasion. The first time was for my friend’s birthday celebration and the second time was impromptu on one of the weekdays. We made reservation in advance for the first visit and walk-in for the second visit. The walk-in waiting time was approximately 20-30minutes on a Sunday night. We were quite lucky that we did not get to wait for so long to have the hotpot.
Beauty in The Pot offers 4 new soup bases- Vitamin C Tomato Sweet Corn, Herbal Drunken Chicken, Cooling Coconut and Longevity Wild Pine Mushroom. Their signature broths include Beauty Collagen Broth and Pork Bone Soup. My favourite broth is definitely the Beauty Collagen Broth. The broth is milky and tasty.

The soup pot is available in single, twin and quart pot. Fret not, you can choose quart pot if everyone has different choice of broth.

How does the ordering system works?
There is a ipad on the table for ordering. We browse through the ingredients offered in the menu and placed the order through the system.

After a short while, the staff came with the soup pot and subsequently the ingredients we ordered.
Here are some of the ingredients we ordered:
My favourite is the Fried Beancurd Skins. This is definitely a must-order ingredient here. I love the crispy texture and we were advised to soak them for 3 seconds. Perfect timing to enjoy it!
The fish, meat and seafood platters are available as well.
There are choices for assorted paste platter including ebiko prawn paste, pork paste, otah paste and many more. The services here are generally good. I read reviews that their service sucks during the initial opening. I guess the operations team has settled down gradually. The staffs are equipped with product knowledge and they advise customers on the length of time to soak the individual ingredients.
And for birthdays, the staffs will gather together to sing birthday song too. It is quite lively I would say. There is balloons giveaway to the birthday lead too.

The restaurant caters 3 private rooms for big groups and there is also a children’s play area to divert the kids’ attention.

Lastly, they offer a 20% discount for supper dining after 10:30pm. It is superb value for money. I don’t mind having hotpot for supper with a bunch of friends.

We spent S$30.00-40.00++ per pax for both visits to the restaurant if you are wondering the amount spent here.
