Kanda Wadatsumi located at Tras Street is few minutes walk away from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station. The Japanese restaurant is a restaurant from Kanda, Tokyo and currently helmed by Japanese Chef Hara Shinji. The ingredients here are imported freshly every week from Japan. They also make it a point to get ingredients from different Prefectures of Japan every month. Thus, you can expect surprises whenever you visit the restaurant.  I was invited for tasting session few days back for Wadatsumi Lunch Menu. They provide Donburi that includes appertizer, small salad, miso soup and pickles. The donburi/ sushi rice bowl is priced from S$26.00++ onwards.




Here are 3 donburi that we had:
Bara Chirashi S$32.00++
Instagram-worthy sushi rice bowl topped with fresh seasonal fish cubes and my favourite uni.

Chirashi S$35.00++
As for chirashi, it comes with sliced seasonal fish and also uni.

Wagyu Steak S$48.00++
The donburi comes with sliced wagyu steak in medium rare.
 We also tried side orders in the menu as well.

Chawanmushi S$8.00++
The steamed Japanese Egg custard is quite impressive. It is literally like the texture of soyabean curd. It just melts into your mouth. I would definitely order this when I am here.

Wagyu Tataki S$38.00++
Thinly sliced seared wagyu beef with dipping sauce as side.

Tamago Yaki S$6.00++
Japanese-style omelette with firmer texture as compared with the usual ones I tasted.

Sashimi Plate
 The simmering sauce used for the donburi varies according to the season, ingredients and taste. It enhances the flavours of the donburi. We enjoyed the meal especially the ingredients in it.
