[SG EATS] Hokkaido Ramen Santouka in Singapore
Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is a Japanese ramen restaurant renowned for its Hokkaido-style ramen and pork cheek. My sister and I visited one of their outlets in Central, Clark Quay over the weekend to check out their new ramen menu. Apparently Santouka is one of the best ramen in Tokyo and Singapore based on the google reviews. The founder, Hitoshi Hatanaka opened his own ramen shop at Hokkaido in 1988.
Here are the ramen dishes we had:
Santouka Signature Toroniku Ramen S$22.00++
This is Santouka’s original dish. The plain ramen is eaten with pork cheek meat which is on a separate plate. Customers can request on the noodles to be cooked in hard or normal accordingly to individual preference. What attracts me is their specality Toroniku pork cheek meat. It is totally awesome and we loved it especially it tender and rich in smoky flavour. It does melt in the mouth and won’t feel ‘jelak’ at all.
In conjuction with their Anniversary celebration (11-14 September 2017), customer get to enjoy 50% off when they order this signature dish and add on S$1.00 for Kara-miso.

Santouka Tan Tan Menu S$15.00++
Not the usual Tan Tan ramen I had before. This Tan Tan ramen has rich sesame and meat miso taste that complements the moderately hot tonkotsu broth. The spicy level is very low and not oily as well. For those who are not into spicy dishes, you can give this a try.
Roast Beef AE- Soba S$17.00++
Dry version of noodles that comes with roast beef & Home made wasabi dressing. The egg works wonder for the overall taste as we mixed it all together. The noodles are coated with the egg which deepend the flavour of the dish. However, it would be best if the roast beef meat texture can be softer in texture.
I would be back for their Santouka Signature Toroniku Ramen for sure if I am around the vicinity and craving for ramen.
