Cherry Garden located at Mandarin Oriental Singapore is well-known with Cantonese cuisine. There are many online reviews on their Dim Sum as well. I visited the restaurant a week before Chinese New Year for a reunion dinner with Eric. We were equally excited to check out their CNY menu but were disappointed on the day itself. Just few days before CNY, my foodie friends and I decided to arrange a CNY dinner. We decided on Empress which is located in the iconic Asian Civilisations Museum. It is just a walking distance away from Raffles Place MRT station. Empress is a contemporary Chinese restaurant under the Prive Group with indoor and alfresco dining space. And not forgetting the view from the Empress is the Singapore River. The fusion style restaurant also serves cocktail drinks with a centralized bar in the centre of the restaurant.
