Online bakery business is trending since few years back and it is getting more and more competitive. So, how do online cake shop owner differentiate themselves from the rest? Homebakers and even profession bakers are creating their online platform as their e-cake shop to reach out as many people as possible.
I attended the official launch of a brand-new online gourmet cake shop at Pies & Coffee, Robertson Quay recently. This is my first time attending e-cake shop launching event. This shows the marketing efforts of the owner to get their brands known across the social media.
This online gourmet cake shop doles out an array of handmade cakes and tarts. The offerings are baked by gourmet chefs upon order and then delivered right to the customers’ doorsteps.

They offers the opportunity for customers to create their own personalised cakes including photo cakes. All you need to do is to upload the photo, choose the flavour and bakers will create a special cake to commemorate the event. Here’s the sample of the photo cakes from the event.
