District 10 Bar & Restaurant has expanded their outlet to Suntec City on September 2015. You can read about my previous visit at their outlet in UE Square for brunch menu here.
With the steakhouse theme, District 10 Bar & Grill at town area serves dry-aged beef. The Italian Chef Luca Pezzera who is also one of the co-owner of the restaurant always put a smile on his face to impress the diners with the beauty of dry-aged meats.
So, what is dry-aged meat? A dry-ageing meat concentrates the natural flavours and tenderizes the meat as enzymes break down the connective tissues within over time. This process involves considerable expenses as the beef requires to store near freezing temperature. The higher grades meats can be dry aged as the process requires meat with a large, evenly distributed fat content.
With the grilling skills of the trained staff, it will have a layer of crispy and smoky fat with tender fibres within. Thus, if the quality is consistent, I trust the meat lovers will be back for more.
Complimentary breads are served.
Puglia Burratina with organic cherry tomato-basil bruschetta S$26.00. Fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream with the fresh and sweet tomato-basil bruschetta made the appertizer even juicer.
Butter lettuce salad with pancetta, hazelnut, gorgonzola, and egg S$10.00. Refreshing salad with the crunchy bites from roasted hazelnuts,
We were in treats to try the 45 Days Dry-aged corn-fed US Prime OP Rib S$20++ per 100g is known as bone-in ribeye. The beefs are sliced up and topped with classic rosemary, salt and pepper mix is all you need to enjoy a good quality one. I enjoyed the fats within the US Prime OP Rib that literally melt into the mouth. Surprisingly the fats didn’t made me feeling sinful instead I couldn’t resist the moisture texture of the meat.
45 Days Dry-aged Forn-fed US Prime Traditional Fiorentina Steak S$22++ per 100g The fiorentina steak has a bone in the middle separating the tenderloin on one side and a striploin on the other. So, you can choose for the more tender tenderloin or the chewy type striploin and also cartilage texture. With the sprinkle with dash of rosemary, sea salt and ground pepper, it was just well-done to be served.
Creamy Truffle Mash S$14++ has the strong truffle smell and taste in it. If you are a truffle lover, you will love it as much as I do.
Signature cocktail recommended that night exclusive for this outlet is Fruits of Angel S$18.00. The drink is made with Plantation Original Dark and papaya syrup. It has the hint of thyme for a savoury balance and tropical feel.
Bitter Chocolate Layer with Marshmallow Fluff and Caramelised Bananas S$14++ presented beautifully on the round plate. The combination of the chocolate and marshmallow tasted like s’mores but it has a rich chocolate taste. With the caramelized bananas as the side, it balances off the taste of the bitter chocolate.
Profiterole filled with chestnut, served with warm chocolate sauce. Staked up like a pyramid and best for sharing. The sweetness taste of the chestnut with the warm chocolate sauce was delish and not overwhelming.
Double Espresso Pannacotta with Vanilla Sauce S$12.00 has a smooth surface and texture in it. The caffeine was extracted from quality beans handpicked by District 10 and obtained from Liberty Coffee. And of course enjoy it along with the crumbled honeycomb and vanilla sauce to enhance the sweetness flavour.
I really enjoy the foods here and of course the friendly Chef Luca doing live demonstration on the cutting process. He also a hands-on person and going around ensuring the diners enjoys the food and chit chat. Although the price here is not cheap, but the quality delivered is worth the value. If you are a meat or beef lovers, District 10 is one of the option not to be miss with their specialize dry-aged meat.
