[SG EATS] BAKE CHEESE TART – FIRST FLAGSHIP STORE IN SINGAPORE OPENING ON 29TH APRIL 2016.

Finally we (in fact I) no need to fly to Japan to have this famous Hokkaido Cheese Tarts because it is opening in Singapore on 29 April 2016. The first flagship store will be located at Ion Orchard Basement 4 and do expect for the queue. I was thankful for the opportunity to have the launch preview before their official opening next Friday at Mo’mor Izakaya.

Bake Cheese Tarts are from Kinotoya, an established Western confectionery in Hokkaido, Japan in 2011. It started to branch out to Shinjuku in 2014 and sold 90,000 tarts for the first month. Then, Bake Cheese Tart also opens in Jiyugaoka as flagship store in 2014. There are 14 stores in total around the world ( 9 stores in Japan and 5 stores Overseas).

We had the privilege to have Mr Shintaro Naganuma, President and CEO of Bake to give us an overall presentation of Bake Cheese Tart over the launch event. Throughout the presentation, we get to understand the making process of the cheese tart. The molten mousse tart filling is made with 3 types of cream cheese- 2 from Hokkaido and 1 from France. The crispy pastry is baked twice (double baked process) instead of the usual practise for a perfect tart.

I had three cheese tarts at one go during the launch event. The 7cm cheese tart crust with cheese cream was rich and creamy and yet it was light and airy. It is the best cheese tart I ever had so far. I can’t wait to go Japan end of this year to try the Japan version. It was freshly baked and served. Thus, the cheese mousse literally melts like a snowflake.

Thanks to the event organizer, each of us is given a box of 6 pieces back home to enjoy. I put them in the fridge and had it for breakfast. The taste remains the same but it has smoother texture. My recent cheese tart experience was the latest cheese tart launched by Icing Room. I never look back again after trying BAKE.

So for Singapore pricing, the cheese tarts will priced at S$3.50 each and a box of 6pcs at S$19.50. Each customer can purchase 12 tarts at one time.
And the best part is that they are freshly baked everyday. The cheese tarts from BAKE are produced in Hokkaido and then flown in to Singapore. Thus, the store will prepare the freshly baked cheese tarts to complete the whole process of this delectable cheese tarts.
