[SG EATS] Din Tai Fung Launches XO Fried Rice with Shrimps & Eggs – 1 – 31 October 2019
Din Tai Fung, the internationally-acclaimed Taiwanese restaurant introduces a limited-edition XO Fried Rice with Shrimps & Eggs from 1-31 October 2019. The brand itself is well-known for its Xiao Long Bao ( Dumplings) and Pork Chop Fried Rice has more to offer.XO Fried Rice with Shrimps & Eggs – S$15.80++
This limited edition fried rice is prepared using a special blend of XO sauce with scallops and dried shrimps concocted by chefs at Din Tai Fung. Chefs also grilled the dried flat fish for the smoky flavour along with the essential ingredients in a Din Tai Fung fried rice. We were lucky to get a taste of it during the tasting session. Everyone enjoyed the fragrant umami flavour of the fried rice. I even had one and the half small bowl of the serving. It was really good!
Apart from this dish that will be launching in October, we also tried other dishes from the menu. Starting from appetisers, we had the Oriental Salad in Special Vinegar Dressing, Fragrant Pork with Crushed Garlic, Stewed Beancurd Cubes with Honey Sauce (vegetarian-friendly) and Cucumber Dressed with Garlic & Chilli Oil.
We also had the Crispy Golden Prawn Pancake, Crispy Chicken Wings Marinated in Shrimp Paste and Deep-fried Handmade Tofu with Water Chestnuts & Mushrooms. I would recommend ordering all 3 dishes here. It was soooooo good! My friends are so addictive with the prawn pancake while I enjoyed the umami packed crispy chicken wings and the deep-fried handmade tofu (vegetarian friendly). Crispy on the outside and soft in the inside! I know what to order next visit here to Din Tai Fung outlets.

And of course the must-have Steamed Pork Xiao Long Bao to complete the meal here in Din Tai Fung.
