Alkaff Mansion Ristorante located at Telok Blangah Hill is well-known for ROM favourite pick and hosted events due to its beautiful courtyard and the structural of colonial bungalow. I was there sometime last month to check out their monthly Italian Gourmet Buffet. The buffet showcase the popular dishes from Sunday Prosecco Brunch and scrumptious Italian Grigliata Grill plus bar. The Italian Gourmet Buffet dinner is ONLY available on third Thursday of the month. So, be sure mark your calendar if you planning to head over for the buffet feast.
So, what are the highlights for the buffet?
Coffin Bay Oysters
The oysters are from South Australia and it was fresh and in big size.
Selection of Cheese
Selection of Italian Cold Cuts
There are quite a selection of carpaccio which includes the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, Tuna carpaccio with orange and black olives and octopus carpaccio with orange and balsamic reduction.
And of course thin-crusted pizzas are available. There are quite a few picks of the pizza with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese to enhance the flavours.
Lamb Rack with Sardinian Vermentino
The lamb texture was soft, tender and juicy. The cut was smooth and it was marinated with Italian white wine to enhance the aromatic taste of the meat.
The 36-hours marinated beef striploin was succulent and juicy as well.
Grilled Sardinian Octopus
One of my favourite that night with the nicely grilled octopus leg. Loving the grilled taste of it.
There are quite varieties of cakes and pastries and all are made in-house by the Pastry Chef. One of my favourite was the chocolate profiteroles. It served with bit size and thus I couldn’t stop at one.
It was a delicious experience here with Alkaff Mansion and hope to be back soon for their foods and services. The service staffs are attentive and put on a great smile at all times.
