[SG EATS] WHAT’S IN SWENSEN’S REVAMPED MENU THIS JULY 2016?

I got invited for Swensen’s media tasting recently which happened to be launching day of the Chun Cui Milk Tea from Taiwan. So I was quite lucky to be able to purchase it at the 7-Eleven outlets in Ion Orchard. Enough said, Swensen has been a favourite place for my ex-colleagues because they served quite a range of dishes and sweet treats.

So in this month of July, Swensen introduces newly revamped menu with a wide selection of hearty mains and pizzas. There are two new desserts to look out as well.

Here are the some of the highlighted dishes from the revamped menu:
Pulled Chicken Salad
Salad served with shredded chicken meats.

Meatballs in Tomato Sauce
The meatballs are served in tomato sauce instead the current black pepper sauce. This would be a choice for the kids.

Southern Style Chicken N Waffle
The crispy fried chicken served on top of the waffles and along with fries, coleslaw and butter lime dressing. The butter lime taste was quite unique and it will take quite a while to adjust to the combination.

Seafood Arrabbiata Pasta
Spaghetti prepared with spicy tomato sauce and seafood ingredients. The sauce was quite spicy for me because I don’t take spicy stuffs. So for those who are not spicy lover, do take note.

Teriyaki Salmon
Teriyaki Salmon served with buttery mashed potatoes and vegetables and finished off with shredded ginger and leek on top of the dish.

Yummy Sticky Coco Yam Sundae
Mind you, I would suggest sharing this with 1-2 friends because of the generous scoops of coconut yam ice-cream layered with Thai sticky rice, red beans, coconut bits and fresh coconut milk.

Salty Eggy Creamy Sundae
Salted Egg yolk craze is still on-going and Swensen has finally jumped into the wagon. The taste was very subtle and maybe not be the favourite for those who prefer a stronger taste of the salted egg.
