Another new bingsu shop spotted recently at Parklane Mall operated by Koreans. I still remember my first bingsu in Singapore was Nunsongyee 1-2 years back. Ever since the K-pop trend, everyone is so into Korean food and stuffs. Snow Witch is located at the 2nd level of the shopping mall and easily spotted with the bright lightings as compared with the rest of the shops in the mall. As you know, Parklane Mall is quite old and thus explains the dullness of the whole shopping mall.
We were there last Friday night and they are having opening special promotion 1+1 Bingsu at S$15.00nett. Not sure when will the promotion ends so if you want to grab the deal, check their Facebook page for update.
We ordered the matcha and strawberry flavours at the counter and we waited for the bingsu to be ready. The best part of the place is that FREE WIFI is provided. It is quite uncommon to have FREE Wifi services in Singapore Cafes. This is best for students who wish to have group discussion or assignment. Smart move I would say!
The shaved ice was fine and soft. The matcha and strawberry flavours are alright but it could be best to reduce the sweetness level. The bingsu itself is sweet and there is no need to add in the milk which was served in a separate serving. The red bean paste was served at the side as well. Customers can have the option to mix them with the matcha if they wish to. I would prefer to enjoy it together. Afterall, matcha and red bean works wonder, don’t you think so?
On top of bingsu, Snow Witch also offers coffee and toasts. The toasts are priced at S$5.00 each. I think this place is cater mostly for students and it has the facilities where they can hang out at the dessert shop with complimentary wifi services whole day.
