[SG EATS] KAM’S ROAST- HONG KONG MICHELIN-STARRED RESTAURANT IN PACIFIC PLAZA SINGAPORE

Kam’s Roast, the Hong Kong Michelin-starred restaurant (Year 2015,2016 & 2017 editions of Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau) will be opening their first overseas branch in Pacific Plaza, Singapore on 19th November 2016. Public can have their takeaway orders from today onwards though. However, their Roast Goose is not available here due to AVA regulations. Thus, the geese are replaced with ducks instead. The ducks are sourced from Malaysia and prepared in-house daily to ensure the quality is within control.
We started our meal with the marinated cucumber with vinegar and garlic S$6.80 and marinated black fungus with vinegar S$6.80. Both appetizers are crunchy and refreshing.

Roast Duck S$55.00 (Whole Duck) | Soya Chicken S$14.80 (Quarter chicken)
You can have the mixed selection of both at S$11.80 per portion as well. The slow roasted duck served with their ‘secret sauce’ . The duck skin is crispy and the meat is tender and moist. Same goes to the soya chicken as well.

And we were recommended to have a bowl of steamed rice S$2.00 with the duck gravy. Absolutely a comfort food.

(Pork Belly) S$22.80 | Char Siu S$14.80

Well-seasoned with Kam family’s award-wining marinade, you can taste the sweet-smoky flavours. The toro char siu is definitely a must-try dish. Tender, fatty and literally melt-in-your-mouth texture. Forget about diet at this moment and savour the best of the dish. As for the char siu meat, the caramelised BBQ pork indeed a good touch.

Roast Suckling Pig S$34.80 per portion | S$148.00 Half | S$248.00 whole
Crispy Roast Pork S$14.80

You can literally hear the crackling sound. Superb crispy skin and tender meat.It taste pretty good by its own. I would recommend to have it without any dipping for the first time.




Braised Noodle with ginger scallion S$6.80
If you love HK noodles, this is just nice to satisfy your cravings in Singapore. The noodles are flown in from Hong Kong daily. Al-dente and springy noodles would goes well with the Kam’s roast meats. There are selections like Duck Leg Noodle S$15.80 and BBQ Pork Noodle S$9.80.

Red Bean Soup with Aged Orange Peel

The interior decorated just like HK restaurant feel and there is a family painting on the wall as well. You can feel the rush vibes the moment you step into the restaurant as the staffs are busy serving and rushing the order in place. Hope I will be back again for their char siu when the queue is lesser. Oh, if you aren’t aware, this is the second Michelin-starred restaurant opening here in Pacific Plaza. The first is Tsuta which is just next to it only.
