Strangers’ Reunion has recently undergo renovation and added new dishes to the menu. So, Nicholas invited Karen, Zippy and me for dinner sometime back. Located along the stretch of shophouses at Kampong Bahru Road, the cafe is known for its coffee and waffles. The cafe is owned by Ryan Kieran Tan, Singapore National Barista Champion 2011 and 2012.

Here are the delicacies that we ordered that night:
Acai Smoothie Bowl S$11.90

Karen wanted to give this a try and when it was served, we are amazed with the presentation. So pretty that we cannot take our eyes off it. Blended Acai with coconut water topped with honey granola, goji berries,berries and coconut flakes.

Aburi Mentaiko Spaghetti S$21.90

Anything with mentaiko looks and sounds good. The pasta served with rich mentaiko sauce with aburi prawns and scallops. Love the thick creamy sauce that mix well with the pasta

Crispy Pork Belly S$22.50

Crispy pork belly served with chorizo hash,pan-fried sous vide egg, sweet potato puree and sauteed seasonal vegetables. Crackling sound of pork belly skin simply entertaining and the meat is tender and juicy. Love the combination with the egg and the sides.

Salmon & Caviar S$23.90

Salmon served with grated sweet potato hash, asparagus, hollandaise and lemon-infused olive oil topped with caviar.

It was a wonderful Monday night after work as we had our catch-up session after the AirAsia Blogger Community 2016 event. It was indeed a fruitful event where we get to know each other better and even find time to meet up when we are back in Singapore.

As for the foods here in Strangers’ Reunion, there are more hits and misses i would say. I will be back for the mentaiko pasta definitely and of course an ideal cafe for friends’gathering.
