Tokyo Chopped Salad located at Millenia Walk is the 1st Japanese chopped salad concept in Singapore. If you are wondering who the person behind this establishment is, none other than Chef Teppei Yamashita. He is also the guy behind few other F&B establishments (Teppei Japanese Restaurant, Teppei Syokudo and Man Man Unagi Restaurant).

So, what is so special about the salad here?

1.The Japanese inspired dressings and protein combinations are crafted by Teppei-san.
2. The salad ingredients are all chopped up using the special chopped imported from New York before mixing it with sauce.
3. You only use SPOON to eat.

There are currently 5 types of chopped signature salads excluding the DIY version.

Soft Shell Crab with Wasabi Dressing

My favourites are Mentai Teriyaki Chicken, Premium Beef Tataki and Soft Shell Crab Salad. I sound greedy but I like the mentai sauce that mixed well with the teriyaki chicken, the beef tataki texture is flavourful and tender and the wasabi dressing works perfectly well with the soft shell crab. The only thing that I wish is that I have the option to add on more sauce to my salad. The mentai sauce is so addicted that I wish I can have more of it. Hopefully they will have the option to add on sauce to the salad. In addition to this, the meat pieces and all other veggies ingredients are chopped finely so you cannot really see the large pieces of meat though.
After all the chopping, the salad presentation may not look attractive or photogenic because we are used to see everything in place with nice cut in slices. But this is how chopped salad works here. All you need is a spoon to enjoy.
