[SG EATS] KIM DAE MUN KOREAN FOOD- VALUE-FOR-MONEY KOREAN CUISINES
I was introduced to Kim Dae Mun by a good friend of mine recently when we decided to have impromptu dinner on one of the weekdays. She was sharing that this is a hidden gem of Korean food stall that she is confident I will give a thumbs up after trying. Kim Dae Mun used to be a Korean food stall located at the food court of the former Le Meridien Hotel on Orchard Road. They relocated to the second level of Concorde Hotel with expanded space which not many people aware of it.
Thanks to my friend! It has become our dinner venue since then. The menu here is pretty straightforward and it comes in set meal with price range between S$7.50 to S$10.00. Cheap and filling!
Diners will need to place their order with the Korean lady at the counter and make payment on the spot. So, make sure you bring enough cash because they only accept cash payment. Once order is made, she will use the mike on her table to call out the orders. The food collection is just next to the counter. The whole process is the same like ordering your food at food court.
Here is what ordered for 2 pax:
Spicy Shredded Chicken set
The Spicy Tofu and Seafood Soup
We love the kimchi soup here and I can get addictive sipping it. It goes well with plain white rice. The ingredients include soft tofu, eggs, squids and prawns were generous and the flavours are appetising. This is perfect for cool weather. In summary, the restaurant serves value-for-money Korean cuisines and there is no GST and service charge too. And most importantly, it is tasty and filling!
