[SG EATS] Blue Lotus Chinese Grill House At Tanjong Pagar Centre

E and I visited Blue Lotus Chinese Grill House located at Tanjong Pagar Centre for our weekend dinner. Blue Lotus Chinese Grill House is a modern contemporary Chinese restaurant. We were here on a Saturday night and the whole place is quite quiet with few tables occupied.We were greeted with smile by the service staff and handed over the menu. Here are the dishes we tried that night:
Oven Baked Lobster Bisque with Chinese Hua Tiao Wine S$16.00++
Since E wants to have lobster bisque, we decided to give this a try. Oh boy! The lobster bisque was smooth, rich and highly seasoned soup. I can have it all by myself.

Australian Blue Lip Mussles,Garlic & Chinese Hua Tiao Wine S$26.00++
The Chinese Hua Tiao Wine adds the aromatic fragrance to the mussels and gives a nice sweet and savoury taste for this dish.

Salted Duck Drumstick Confit with Five Spice, Mushroom Barley Risotto S$26.00++
Although menu stated salted duck drumstick confit, I find that the saltiness taste is minimal and it goes well with the mushroom barley risotto. This Chinese spin on a popular French dish is delectable I would say.

Claypot Mapo Tofu, Onsen Egg S$18.00++
The sizzling claypot mapo tofu cubes topped with the onsen egg was our favourite dish of the night. Hearty dish and best to go with a bowl of white rice and I am good! Surprisingly the spiciness level is still manageable.

Durian Crème Brulee S$14.00++
We finished it within seconds! I love anything with durian!

Chilled Aloe Vera, Lemongrass Gelo, Lime Sorbet S$12.00++
We love the refreshing dessert and this is best to cleanse the palate after the meal.

Our Total bill was S$135.70 inclusive of 10% service charge and 7% GST.The dining experience here was pleasant. The staffs are friendly and approachable. We even had a chat with one of the service staff. The dishes here are generally delectable and I will be back to check out their other dishes in the menu. Everything was good except that the warm water here is chargeable at S$0.60. We shared our feedback to the staff when they asked about our dinning experience.
