[SG EATS] New Ubin Seafood Zhongshan Park at Ramada by Wyn dham Singapore

Homegrown restaurant chain New Ubin group expands their third outlet, New Ubin Zhongshan Park at Ramada by Wyndham Singapore. My last visit to New Ubin Seafood was in year 2016 before they moved out from the Sin Ming Industrial Estate.This third outlet, New Ubin Zhongshan park is jointly managed and overseen by Chief Executive Officer, Alexander Pang, hotel’s senior management, chefs and service staffs from the original Hillview eatery.
New Ubin Seafood Zhongshan Park-1
The dining space at New Ubin Zhongshan Park is spacious and the furniture includes leather sofa booths, accent chairs, wooden details and black and white photography displayed on the walls. Spot the hand-illustration of the “Original Pulau Ubin Jetty & Restaurant North Shore” by local chalkboard artist Drew of online artist collective Imagined Ideas.

Let’s move on to the dishes we tried on a weekday night.

Everyone was raving on this signature dish that night. Pork jowl is cooked over coals in the Spanish Mibrasa oven and it goes very well with sweet miso gula Melaka.

New Ubin Seafood Zhongshan Park-Sambal Petai
Petai fans will definitely enjoy this dish with a good mix of house-made sambal chinchalok. This dish is best to have it with a bowl of white rice.

Hokkien Mee Special S$15.00++ (S)
New Ubin Seafood Zhongshan Park-Hokkien Mee
Flavourful and tze-char style hokkien mee with prawns, clams, baby squid, slices of pork belly and sinful pork lard cubes. Superb shiok! You get the wok hei taste here!

USDA Black Angus ‘Choice’ Ribeye starting from S$80.00++ for 500gm
New Ubin Seafood Zhongshan Park-Black Angus Ribeye
New Ubin Seafood Zhongshan Park-Heart Attack Rice
The signature dish here is this chunky pieces of Black Angus Ribeye served in medium rare and we had sides including the Idaho potato wedges, caramelised onions and the wok-fried ‘Heart Attack’ Fried Rice caramelised with sinful beef drippings from the ribeye. The beef cubes nicely grilled with smoky char on the exterior and best to enjoy while it’s hot as the texture gets tough after that.

Chilli Crab with Deep-Fried Mantou available from S$48.00++ for 500gm | S$4.00 for 3 mantous
