[SG EATS] Celebrate The Year of Ox 2021 at Shisen Hanten by Chen Kentaro | Mandarin Orchard

Celebrate with auspicious set meals at two Michelin-star Shisen Hanten by Chen Kentaro at Mandarin Orchard this Chinese New Year. The Lunar New Year specialities are available for dine-in and takeaway as well. There are 8-course Prosperity menu at S$138.00++ per person for a minimum of two persons, to the nine-course Majestic menu at S$298.00++ per person for a minimum of six persons. Here are some of the highlights from the CNY Menu:
Abalone and salmon yu sheng

A-must have lohei dish for every Chinese New Year feast. It is available for both dine-in and takeaway.

Poached dumplings stuffed with minced Kurobuta pork and porcini mushroomOne of the new Chinese New Year creations for this year. Beautifully plated presentation and equally delicious as it looks. The dumpling skin is specially made using red yeast rice flour to create the auspicious red hue.

Double-boiled chicken consomme with greater burdock, baby abalone, fish maw, dried scallop, red date.

Delicious meat with strong flavour of steaming along with the savoury umami quality from cordyceps and other ingredients.

Next, indulge in premium and luxurious ingredients for this festive season. Both abalone and sea cucumber cooked in perfection.

Instead of the usual noodles, chef uses transparent noodle made from starch and water to pair with the lobster. Savoury bowl not to be missed!

Lastly, we had purple sweet potato puree with red bean glutinous rice dumpling, steamed longan and red date cake and golden pineapple ingot. It was a sweet ending for the night.
