[SG EATS] Enjoy Eating House & Bar At Stevens Road -Modern Zi Char For Everyone

I visited Enjoy Eating House & Bar located at Kam Leng Hotel sometime back before and this time round I am here at their second outlet at Stevens Road. This new space has bigger seating capacity and with colourful interior design to welcome customers. There is also FREE parking available. The restaurant is a modern Zi Char with a touch of Thai cuisine. Reason being is that owner and Chef Joel spent a year in Thailand to study the culinary and blend into the lifestyle of the locals there.
My friend and I were here for lunch and check out the dishes we had during our visit.
Ugly Cabbage in Fish Sauce S$13.00

Do not get deceive by it’s appearance as this dish is one of our favourite here. Crunchy cabbage cooked with garlic, fish sauce and wok-hei frying skill. Simple yet a comforting dish that you can have it all the time.

Chef Joel’s XO White Fish Soup S$10.00

XO White fish soup using fresh meaty slices of fish boiled for at least 6 hours with a slight alcoholic XO flavour in it. The after taste of XO is quite strong though for my personal preference.

Hainanese Chicken Satay S$10.00

This sweet savoury grilled Hainanese chicken satay was juicy, tender and flavourful on its own. And not forgetting the satay sauce that comes with grated pineapple for a dip to enhance the flavour of the satay.

We had the signature stewed pork trotters size S served with stir fried rice vermicelli infused with the savoury flavours from the stock. It is also the best seller for the outlet at Kam Leng Hotel. The vermicelli was moist and the braised pork trotters were tender and strong taste and fat but yet not greasy in taste. We enjoyed the bouncy collagen pig trotters and worth your calories once in a while. This classic tradition dish is made using Chef Joel’s grandma recipe.

Deep-fried fresh golden snapper fillet coated with rich, creamy red curry sauce, which is Thai-inspired dish. It is best to go with a bowl of white rice.

“Popiah” Garden S$14.00

Lastly, we opt for this pretty Popiah Garden which is basically gelatos served with popiah skin. The 3 types of gelatos include blue pea flower, pandan leaf with lemongrass gelato and sea salt Horklick gelato decorated on top of the popiah skin with crushed peanuts and dress with aromatic cilantro. Beautiful note to end our lunch.
