Dopo Teatro is an Italian restaurant nestled within Esplanade that offers a modern dining experience. Dopo Teatro celebrates the confluence of Italian and Japanese culinary influences. The restaurant has 86-seaters with cosy interior and a nice view along the waterfront if you are having it in alfresco dining area. As the night falls, diner can soak in the picturesque city night views.
The menu showcases antipasti, salads, pastas, and pizzas. We were there for our dinner session and here are the dishes we had that night.
Sake Flambe Mussels S$20.00++
Mussels lover can try out this hearty bowl filled with locally-farmed green lipped mussels in savoury sake broth.The broth has been cooked with shio kombu for flavour and aroma that is sweet with a hint of the ocean.
Seafood Paccheri S$25.00++
Japanese octopus ragu and Japanese baby crabs atop a bed of Italian paccheri pasta. The dish is served with ice plants and topped with uni foam and drizzles of shiso oil.The pasta draped in so much saucy goodness and I thought the ice plant is ideal for garnish but not my favourite combo.
Signature pizzas that feature a dough has been fermented for at least 36 hours and then baked to a light and airy crisp. For Verde, the toppings include generous slices of mortadella, bocconcini, toasted pistachio and wild rockets; all brought together by pistachio crème. I would say interesting combination especially with the toasted pistachio for the extra crunch and texture of the pizza.
Pistachio Canoli S$16.00++Nutty combination of cocoa cannoli, whipped pistachio ganache, sea salt dulce de leche, toasted pistachio and matcha gelato.
In conjunction of the NEW opening, they are having a promotion for their set menu S$79.90++ ( U.P. S$123.00++) till 31 July 2021.
