[SG EATS] EMBU- All-Day Dining Buffet Restaurant At Mandarin Oriental Singapore
Singapore is a city known for its vibrant culinary scene, where every corner offers a new gastronomic adventure. Amidst the bustling cityscape, Embu at Mandarin Oriental Singapore has emerged as a delightful oasis dining place in town. Replacing Melt Cafe, Embu takes its name from the Tembusu tree, a local evergreen renowned for its fragrant flowers and sturdy frame. This lush garden-style space invites you to rediscover the joy of eating, making it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts of all ages.
Embu boasts a lavish spread of buffet selections that will leave you spoiled for choice. The menu is a gastronomic journey, featuring an array of delights from around the world. Here’s a glimpse of what you can expect:
Seafood Colosseum
Dive into a treasure trove of seafood, including Boston lobster, scallops, mud crab, tiger prawns, green-lipped mussels, white clams, and freshly shucked oysters from New Zealand, the United States, Ireland, and France.
Appetizers & Salads
Kickstart your buffet spread with salads and selection of cheese and hams.
Japanese Counter
Savor the freshness of sashimi that comes with selections like Salmon, Tuna, Tako, Ebi and Hamachi, sushi, and an assortment of nigiri and maki. There are also hot selection such as chicken teriyaki, karaage chicken and Takoyaki.
Asian & European Delights
Enjoy an extensive selection of Asian dishes, including Double-boiled dried oyster lotus root soup, Claypot Sesame Chicken, Chilli Crab, Black Pepper Crab, Curry Cereal Prawn, Seafood Fried Noodles, Thai Basil Beef, Tom Yum Soup and many more.
For European dishes, expect to indulge in Country-style potato velouté, Duck Leg Confit with Prune and Garlic Jus, Pan-seared Sea Bass with crunchy tomato salsa, Crab and Mussel Orzo Pasta and Grilled Chicken Basil Fregola with Corn and Zucchini.
Not forgetting Mandarin Oriental laksa served with a choice of Boston lobster, prawn, scallop. There is also freshly cooked pasta in Parmesan wheel right next to the counter.
Craving Station
For the craving station, check out the Whole Baked Atlantic Salmon, Roasted Beef and Roasted Pork.
Indian Specialties
One of my favourite stations is the Indian cuisine here. Delight in a rich array of Indian flavors, with dishes like Tandoori Salmon, Butter Chicken, and Lamb Boti Kebab alongside with Naan and Nasi Briyani.
Pizza
Taste delicious pizzas, from Neapolitan to seafood-infused, with options like Jamon Iberico Ham Pizza and local-flavor-infused creations.
Desserts
Another highlight of the buffet spread is their desserts. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a plethora of dessert options, including Signature Chocolate Cake, Clementine Yogurt Mousse, and a Chocolate Fountain, alongside an assortment of ice creams and sorbets. Highly recommend trying their Pistachio and Mango flavours. They are amazingly good! You can choose to enjoy your ice-cream on freshly made waffle or even waffle cone. Their bite-sized cakes are irresistible and a must-try! Local Nyonya delights and fresh fruits are included as well.
A Haven for Little Fans
Embu also pays special attention to young diners with a unique kid’s buffet corner, offering dishes to delight the little ones and ensure they have a memorable dining experience.
In summary, Embu offers extensive buffet offers that showcase a wide array of international and local flavours. Whether you are a seafood lover, a fan of Asian cuisine or indulge in exquisite desserts, Embu has something for everyone.
