[SG EATS] VUE – Rooftop Dining With A View At OUE Bayfront

VUE located on the penthouse of OUE Bayfront on Collyer Quay is the latest iconic rooftop bar and grill destination overlooking some of the most stunning vistas of Marina Bay and the Singapore Skyline. The restaurant is OUE Dining latest F&B concept that emphasises binchotan-grilled specialities at the heart of its cuisine offerings, complemented by a versatile selection of wines. Yay! another dining option with a view apart from Level 33.

Upon arrival, you are greeted with the grand walkway entrance of the restaurant. The restaurant is sectioned into three focal areas- 60 seat main dining room, an al-fresco pavilion with the spritz bar that seats 36, and a private dining room that seats 12.

We headed to the rooftop spritz bar for pre-drinks before we start our mains. Available from 5pm to 7pm, spritz cocktails come with complimentary servings of canapés like La Coca Bread, Guindilla Peppers, Home-pickled Cherries and Preserved Apple.

When the sun goes down, we moved inside to kick start our dinner of the night.
Complimentary Bread

Focaccia enriched with fat released from grilling the A5 Emperor “Kokuou” wagyu and served with homemade truffle butter. Highly recommended!

Oysters with Champagne Mignonette

Speciales Geay Size 2 Oysters is served with champagne mignonette made of vinegar, minced shallots and seasoning. It is a good start as an appetiser of the night.

Ceviche S$38.00++

Diced Ibaraki halibut, Norwegian diver scallop, and New Caledonian prawns are cured in homemade citrus-based spicy tiger’s milk emulsion. The dish is then topped with shallots, pine nuts, fresh and freeze-dried corn to add the crunch and sweetness to the dish. It is a well-balanced citrusy dressing as a starter dish.

Kumamoto A5 Emperor ‘Kokuou’ Wagyu Sirloin S$120.00++ /150g

Beautiful grass-fed wagyu from Kyushu Island is grilled over the restaurant’s signature binchotan and lightly seasoned with rice salt flakes. The dish is served with onion marmalade, potato mash, and red wine and beef jus reduction. The beef tasted soft, tender, rich, decadent butteriness and do not need additional condiments to enhance the flavour. I enjoyed its original flavour!

Side dishes include Grilled Mushrooms, Grilled Shishito Peppers, Bone Marrow, Marbled potatoes, Creamed Spinach, Purple Cabbage with Bayonne Ham and Onion Tempura. Pricing starts from S$12.00++ onwards.

Chestnut S$18.00++

Beautiful festive dessert presentation made up with delicate cocoa nib tuile served on a bed of silky chocolate mousse, accompanied by chocolate truffle and chestnut ice-cream. Fresh raspberries are added to zest up the dish. Lastly, the fresh chestnut ice-cream is garnished with shaved Italian truffle.

As a whole, it has a strategic location with breathtaking view of the skyline. It is best for dates, private functions, and events and even for weddings. And do make a reservation/inquiry before dining to avoid any disappointments.
