Order Chit

I finally met up with Eric after 3 weeks and we decided to check out Xin Cuisine Chinese Restaurant this time. Xin Cuisine Chinese Restaurant is a modern Cantonese restaurant located at Level 4, Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium. I made a reservation through Chope beforehand for Sunday brunch. My last visit to Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium was 3-4 years ago when my sis held her wedding dinner here. Time flies!

Order Chit

We were given an order chit with lists of available dim sums. We decided to order 3 to try. Our main purpose visiting the restaurant is to check out the Poached Rice with Seafood in Superior Broth served with Crispy Rice S$14.00++/ per pax.

Before I share more about this particular dish, here are the dim sums we had:
Scallop Dumpling with Dragonfruit in Salted Egg Yolk Sauce S$7.00++ (3pcs)As much as I enjoy the scallop dumpling, I can’t really taste the salted egg yolk sauce. The scallop dumpling tasted good on its own though.

Steamed Brown Rice and Glutinous Rice with Chicken S$5.80++ (3pcs)The glutinous rice is wrapped into small portion of three which I think it is good. Everyone gets to try it! I love the sticky, soft and fluffy taste of the rice.

Abalone Puff S$6.50++ (3pcs)It looks good as it taste. However, I can’t really taste the abalone though. It is more like having mushroom puff.

Pan-fried Sea Perch Dumpling with Miso Sauce S$6.80++ (3pcs)
Flavourful pan-fried seafood dumpling served on the hotplate.

Poached Rice with Seafood in Superior Broth served with Crispy Rice S$14.00++
This is their latest signature dish and I am glad that we had this one bowl each. It’s the highlight of the meal. Both of us enjoyed it so much especially after the rain on Sunday. This is comforting dish I would say. The essence of the broth tasted umami with seafood taste and also the crispy rice enhanced the texture of the dish. I don’t mind having second bowl.

Total bill was S$63.68 inclusive of 10% service charge and 7% GST for 2 pax. Our brunch was quick as we finished everything including taking food photos within 40 minutes. I would say the serving time was quite efficient as well. I would definitely bring my family to check out the food here soon.
