[SG EATS] MO’MOR- CONTEMPORARY IZAKAYA AT TANGLIN POST OFFICE | ORCHARD
Mo’mor the latest F&B restaurant located at Tanglin Post Office is a contemporary izakaya concept with Japanese and European gourmets. The restaurant is managed by Chef Martin Woo who is an award wining chef and has worked with renowned hotels such as Hilton Singapore and The Ritz Hotel Taipei.
Mo’Mor Izakaya has indoor and large outdoor seating area. The alfresco settings space is large enough to holds events or gathering too. As for the air-conditioned indoor settings, dining area is quite limited. So, if you prefer indoor seatings, do make your reservations to avoid any disappointment.
Having said that, let’s see move on to the fusions dishes that you can expect from Mo’mor Izakaya:-
TAPAS
Edamame Beans with Seasalt
Botan Ebi served with Shoyu and Wasabi
Oysters served with Citrus Jelly. I would recommend giving this a try especially with the refreshing citrus jelly.
Sword Fish Belly
Instead of having sashimi by its own, the swordfish belly was served with ponzu, grapefruit and garlic chips. The combination of individual ingredients enhanced the flavours of the swordfish.
Soft Shell Crab with grated radish and tempura sauce
Hokkaido Scallop served with ikura and garlic chips as the toppings. I enjoyed the scallop sweetness with the ikura bursting inside my mouth.
“Unagi” Japanese Eel
It has been a while since I last had unagi. The unagi here served with sesame seed and sansho pepper.
MAINS
Black Angus Ribeye
It was served in a generous portion with natural jus and onion confit. It was tender and juicy. Enough said.
Saikyo Miso Chicken
The spring chicken was prepared with the natural jus and served along with pumpkin puree. Loving the presentation of the dish and the chicken meat was grilled on point. It would be great if the miso taste would be thicker.
Hamachi
Grilled hamachi served with grated dish and tempura sauce.
SIDES
Hasselback Potato
Simplicity is the best I would say. I love it with the sour cream and chives.
Shredded Cabbage with goma dressing
SWEETS
Melon Gazpacho with berries salsa and raspberry sorbet.
Mo’mor Izakaya also offers an affordable set lunch. With only S$15.00++, diners get to enjoy 2 course meal (1 main, 1 tapas or dessert) or S$18.00++ for a 3 course meal (1 main, 1 tapas and 1 dessert)
This contemporary dining place would be your next dining list in queue for their affordable dishes to offer. It is also a good place for gatherings and events. I just attended BAKE pre-launch event at Mo’mor last week. And of course there are hit and misses dishes but overall with the price offer and the regularly menu changing, I think it is enough to keep customers coming back for surprises.
