I guess most of you are familiar with The Salted Plum. I did blogged about their outlet located at Circular Road last year and here they have a new outlet in Suntec City. This outlet offers exclusive breakfast set with expanded menu. Their dining area is complete with street-esque ambience and a self-service system.<
Wallet-friendly tapas-style Taiwanese dishes and value rice bowls are best deal here in The Salted Plum. They are offering breakfast set S$5.00 , afternoon rush hour (11:30AM – 2:30PM) from S$9.00-S$18.00 and dinner set menu for 2 pax for S$50.00 and 4 pax for S$100.00.
It is best to come in group so that you can try more dishes here. But the highlight for this restaurant is their Sweet Potato Porridge S$2.00. Superb comforting and I had 2 bowls of it! This bowl of porridge is achieved by the natural colouring of purple sweet potato is best to pair with all the dishes here.
Other dishes include Smashed Cucumber S$5.00, Dou Miao S$15.00, Cold Tofu S$10.00, Taiwanese Sausage Patties S$10.00, Pork Chop S$10.00, Oyster Mushroom S$10.00 and Beef Belly S$15.00.
The Salted Plum’s Mei Cai S$5.00 is also best to enjoy as a side dish with rice or Sweet Potato Porridge. It consists of preserved mustard greens, shiitake mushroom and pork belly are simmered for two hours.
Lu Rou 2.0 S$15.00 is the upgraded version of their best-selling braised pork belly. Rich flavour is further enhanced for bigger shiok factor. The whole strips of pork belly are braised for at least 10 hours in 17 different aromatics such as five-spice powder, cinnamon, ginger, and peppercorns, light and dark soy sauces.
The Salmon Fresh AF S$15.00 is exclusively available in this outlet. Pan-fried fresh salmon served with leaks, picked daikon with a side of seaweed mayo.
Then, we have this Joey’s Lala S$15.00 and Long Beans S$10.00. Both are my favourites and it goes very well with the porridge.
Kao Rou S$15.00 is good too and the grilled pork belly tasted similar to Bak Kwa and addictive too.
The Golden Shishamo S$10.00.Some may like it and some may skip it.
And of course do not to miss their signature dessert, The Salted Plum’s Red Tea Jelly S$5.00 that served with red tea jelly with chewy black sugar boba and luscious cream. It is definitely a refreshing bowl of happiness.
I am so happy that it is available in Suntec City and I know where I can have my lunch now. Another list added into my lunch choice!
