Cheot Nun Korean Dessert Café was opened late last year (2016) and I have visited the place 2nd time including my recent visit. The Korean Dessert Café located next to Sprout (fine dining restaurant) and a short distance from City Square JB & Komtar Mall. You can take a cab, uber or grab here with less than RM8. I wouldn’t advise you to walk even though it is a walking distance from CIQ. I think I should include this in my Johor Food By Foot Guide listing. Read More

Another Korean Dessert Café opened in Johor Bahru in February 2017 and this time is located in Permas Jaya. Homibing Korean Dessert Café is the latest addition café in Johor Bahru. It is located along the new shop houses along Jalan Permas 1/15. It is approximately 30 minutes drive from the town. The whole building looks grand and has the classic exterior look. Alona Coconut located along the roadside of Jalan Ibrahim Sultan, Stulang Laut is known for its coconut drinks including milkshake. So Eric and I went for dinner hunting last weekend again. This time we visited Morsels located at 25 Dempsey Road for dinner. Morsels is initially located in Little India before they moved here. The restaurant is located just behind Long Beach Seafood Restaurant to give you a general idea where it is. Yes! Fugu (pufferfish or blowfish) and this time I get to try it in Tokyo, Japan. My first experience was at Fugu Fine Fugu Kaiseki Restaurant in Singapore. Torafugu Tei is a chain of restaurant specializes in fugu dishes in Japan. We were attracted to the restaurant because of the live puffer fish tank displayed. Are you a fan of tendon? Don Meijin located within Ramen Champion at Bugis+ is the latest addition to the tendon family. The stall offers the similar tendon just like Tendon Kohaku, Ginza Tendon Itsuki and Tensho Japanese Speciality Tendon House by MOF. The difference is that they included a local twist of spicy chilli crab sauce into the tendon. Read More
