I was in Kuching, Sarawak over the weekend last month. It is my first time visiting Kuching and all this started when my sister inviting me to join her to visit her bff. We booked through AirAsia and I began listing the foods that I want to try. One of them is from Noodle Descendents which was used to call Min Joo Café. Min Joo Café was located at Bishop Gate, a small lane off Carpenter Street, Kuching years back. And now, the shop has renamed to Noodle Descendants (面家汤) and shift to a shop house at Jalan Padungan. You can read my first review here. Read More
An addition hipster café along Jalan Dhoby, Johor Bahru was spotted. Flowers in the Window Cafe (just opposite The Replacement Lodge & Kitchen) is from the team behind The Roost Café, Bev C and Sea & Saw. The team has never failed to impress with their interior designs of the café. Each café has their own individualistic that never draws the attention of caféhoppers. As for Flowers in the Window, the café focuses on flowery theme. As you step into the café, you can feel the rustic and contemporary designs with flowery as the main focus. This-storey café is truly an instagram-worthy place for instagrammers. I kid you not. Read More

During one of the last week of December last year, I visited Kerala Restaurant with fellow foodies for our JB food trail. Miyakori Coffee is the latest café addition by foot in Johor Bahru. Their first outlet was located at Bukit Indah with cute theme interior design and menu. Congrats on the second outlet expansion and it is located just inside City Square Shopping mall. It’s an ideal location to have crowds coming in from Singapore. Miyakori Coffee is located at level 5 of the mall with a nice clean white furbished design. There are only coffee, tea, pastries and cakes available in this outlet. If you been to the outlet at Bukit Indah, there serves mains there. Read More
I spent few days in JB on the last week of December 2015 and my dad recommended me to Ayam Goreng Dapur Kayu which is a short drive from our home. “Ayam Goreng” is referring to fried chicken in Malay language. What triggers me to post about this place is that the fried chicken here are prepared traditionally with firewood. “Kayu” means wood in Malay language. The stall has been in business for 40 years and currently is taken over by the second generation. Even my parents visited this stall for their fried chicken during the earlier days. Read More

Do you know there was once ‘Lemon Tree’ song was famous? I still remember my singing choir during good old school days choose this song to compete and we won 1st prize.
The name of the restaurant comes after the hype of the song and the owner, Jeffrey decided to use it as the name of the restaurant. Lemon Tree is located along shophouses facing residential place called Taman Melodies. The restaurant is actually 7 minutes away from KSL City Mall. The location is not easily identified if you are not a local here but GPS and Google Maps are useful for those who are driving. Alternatively, you can always take a cab here from KSL which cost approximately RM6.00- RM10.00. Read More
Ever since the currency rate is 1: 3 , there is a drastic increase of human traffic daily from Singapore checkpoint to Malaysia checkpoint.
