Weekend just got better with more buffet varieties around Singapore lately. Cocobolo Poolside Bar & Grill, alfresco restaurant located at Park Hotel Clarke Quay is one in the weekend buffet list. Starting from 30 September, the restaurant will revamped its weekend barbecue buffet menu with upsized variety of premium meats and seafood items along with an expanded selection of appetisers and hot mains. I was staying at Golden Sands Resorts Penang during Hari Raya Haji and decided to have dinner at one of the restaurants, Sigi’s Bar & Grill On the Beach for dinner.Sunset at Batu Ferringhi beach was indeed a sight to behold. It has been a while since I last enjoyed dinner with such a gorgeous sunset beach view. This beach front restaurant within the hotel is one of the best dining views in Penang. Oh boy! It has been 2 years since my last visit to Penang and I was there over the weekend. I met my Penang friend who came to pick me from the airport and headed for breakfast. He brought me to Kong Thai Lai coffeeshop located in Hutton Lane, Georgetown. This is one of the oldest traditional Hainanese coffeeshop that has 100 over years of history. ( 3 generations and on-going). While Toh Soon Café located at Campbell Street was crowded with tourists, I am glad that we are here for kaya toast and kopi instead without even queuing. Read More

Yeah! You are right S$18.00 nett omakase from Ryo Sushi located at Tanjong Pagar. The restaurant has recently opened at Orchid Hotel and stating 24 hours operation. I was told that they will be operating 24 hours after they got enough manpower. So, what attracts me here is their opening special omakase 10-course meal at S$18.00 nett.
