Barashi-Tei located at Middle Road is a few weeks old Japanese Restaurant in town. The founder and chef, Mr Wang Zhen Feng picked up his culinary skills from a 60 years old Japanese Master Chef who has more than 40 years of experience. The restaurant is just conveniently located next to Le Café Confectionary & Pastry, the famous soya tarts. We were told that their ingredients are freshly imported from Japan to bring out the essence of Japanese food. Read More

HazelDiary started out as personal blog and evolves to an open diary sharing food, travel and lifestyle since year 2008. Food brings people closer together, travel provides us a wider perspective of the life journey. Follow me as I travel around places to experiment new and nostalgic food hunts, be it in Singapore, Malaysia and across the world. After all, food and travel go well together like just like Kaya and Toast. Having this perfect combi not only enhances one culinary experience but allows one to understand the local insights.
