Cheot Nun Korean Dessert Café was opened late last year (2016) and I have visited the place 2nd time including my recent visit. The Korean Dessert Café located next to Sprout (fine dining restaurant) and a short distance from City Square JB & Komtar Mall. You can take a cab, uber or grab here with less than RM8. Whenever weekend comes, JB café hopping is one of the activities that we do across the causeway. Faculty of Caffeine is one of the first JB café that is by walking distance from City Square mall and JB check point. The café is also the earliest café that start operating which I would recommend to drop by if you reach JB by 9am to beat the traffic. This is what my friends and I do. Bonbon Bakery Café located at Taman Molek, Johor Bahru is the latest café addition since 1 month ago. The café is located few steps away from Brew Orchestra. It shares the same name as the bakery in Australia but I am not sure if there are franchise café or not. I visited the place twice in a week. Whenever weekend comes, you will see many are going across the JB causeway for shopping and eating. Youngsters will go for Café hopping in Johor Bahru. My recent visit café visit is to Union Fashion Bar located at Taman Sutera area. There are busses going to Taman Sutera if you are travelling from second link. So, fret not, it is still accessible even without driving. Union Fashion Bar (UFB) was opened last year and one of the co-owner, Mr Yap Chern Chee was a former Chef de Partie at Bakerzin Singapore since 2000. Creamery Boutique Ice-Cream JB located at Mount Austin is well-known with their lava cookies. The café is a franchise from Thailand. EH HE Café along Jalan Tan Hiok Nee first started out last year with their unique coffee story concept under Just Want Coffee (JWC) and later on closed for a renovation for few months before they open with new concept. I visited the place twice since last December 2015 after it is being revamped. EH HE Art Café is no longer collaborating with JWC and has come up with their own concept of foods and drinks. So, Singapore Salted Egg Croissants war has begun early this year 2016. Flavour Flings Café is the first to launch followed by Antoinette on 1st February. And there are 3 more players in Singapore market. I have not got the chance to try yet. But I am back to Seven Oaks Bakery & Café on 31st January for their salted egg lava croissant. It is actually located at the left side on the new shop houses once you turned in seeing Taman Sutera Signage along the highway.
