My first taste of “The Bird” or “Yardbird” was on last year’s Epicurean Market. One year later I am here in their first outlet in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore checking out the some of the dishes from the menu. The Bird Southern Table & Bar is under Restaurateur John Kunkel’s award-winning restaurant group. The have a sophisticated space with rustic charm and using white brick walls on their interior décor. Kuro-Obi by Ippudo is officially opened on 13 January 2017 at Marina Bay Sands. I was there for their ramen tasting with fellow foodie. The kiosk is right next to Ippudo’s latest outlet in Singapore. Kuro-Obi which refers to Black Belt in Japanese was first unveiled in New York. Singapore outlet marks Kuro-Obi’s first overseas foray outside of New York. Read More
