赞麵館 猪肉粉 Like Mee Noodle House first established in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. It started off with a pork noodle stall in Petaling Jaya before it expanded to Johor state in recent years. Helmed by Madam Shirley who has 20 years of experience, her pork bone soup noodles are well-loved by customers.
The signature pork soup base includes pork bones and other ingredients and is boiled for at least 8 hours to turn into a rich and thick pork bone broth. [M’sia Eats] Jade Garden Seafood Restaurant 翡翠园海鲜酒家 at Sungai Rengit, Pengerang | Johor

If you are planning for Desaru trip, do drive another 30 minutes to Sungai Rengit for live lobsters and seafood feast. Since we were heading to Desaru, we decided to visit Jade Garden Seafood Restaurant for lunch before check-in to Westin Desaru Coast. The restaurant has moved to a bigger space with air-conditioned now. They also cater outdoor dining space with seascape view as well. It has been years since I last visit Sungai Rengit. I also noticed that there are so many seafood restaurants to choose from now.

We were here around 1 plus and we noticed that they even have Muslim customers too. So, the restaurant serves no pork, no lard and it is muslim-friendly. Finally, the border is open and we can cross over the causeway without much protocol now. During my recent trip to Johor Bahru, I decided to revisit this old school mee hoon kueh shop at Taman Molek for lunch. 大豐麵粉粿 aka Kedai Makanan Mee Hoon Kueh established in 1986 as a pushcart stall in Taman Sentosa. [JB EATS] Restoran Ming Xuan –Hakka Lei Cha ( Thunder Tea Rice) in Kulai | Johor

Restoran Ming Xuan located at Kulai, Johor is known by the locals as one of the best selling Hakka Lei Cha in town. Leii Cha is also known as Thunder Tea Rice or “Lui Cha” (河婆客家擂茶). This dish is a traditional Hakka Food. It is a bowl contains of rice, fresh vegetables, tofu and nuts along with a flavourful green soup.
