CANDLENUT – WORLD’S FIRST MICHELIN-STARRED PERANAKAN RESTAURANT OPENS AT COMO DEMPSEY







 Candlenut opens at COMO Dempsey on 1 November 2016. It is the first of four dining establishments to open at COMO Dempsey. Housed in a 4,262-sq ft restaurant, it has an expanded seating capacity of 92, including an eight-seat private room perfect for intimate dinners or casual business lunches, and an al fresco dining area which seats 20. Candlenut, the world’s first Michelin-star Peranakan restaurant by chef Malcolm Lee sets to indulge diners with more than 40 appetisers, mains and desserts from the a la carte menu for lunch and dinner.

What to expect from this new place?
Candlenut continues to serve up contemporary Peranakan cuisine that preserves the essence and complexities of traditional food with astute twists that lift the often rich dishes to a different level.
Favourites from Candlenut’s signature Peranakan Ah-ma-kase dinner tasting menu- Red Lion Snapper Fillet with Black Green Mango and Ginger Flower and the King Tiger Prawn with fresh chilli sambal and charred garlic chives are now available on the a la carte menu.

Prices range from S$12.00 for Homemade Kueh Pie Tee to S$36.00 for Buah Keluak Wagyu Beef Short Ribs.




There are 10-course tasting menu for dinner at S$78.00 as well.
