The durian season is back again! Have you got your durian cravings yet? Other than visiting durian stalls, hotels are launching durian desserts to attract customers. So, what is raindrop cake? It is a giant raindrop dessert which is also known as mizu shingen mochi. Mizu Shingen mochi is a Japanese cult dessert made from mineral water and gelatine or agar and served with roasted soybean flour and sugar cane syrup. I came across Yokosuka Curry House located at City Square Mall, Johor Bahru that offers this dessert. I have visited twice within a month. First time was alone and second time with a friend. So, it’s the Ramadan month again! Thanks to Care Luxury Hotels & Resorts, I get to be one of the few that attended the cocktail lunch event sometime back at Hotel Granada. Hotel Granada is located within a walking distance from AEON Jusco Taman Bukit Indah. For those who are travelling from Singapore, you can take bus from Tuas checkpoint to get here. There is a bus to AEON Jusco Taman Bukit Indah. For those who are driving, you can easily locate the hotel via GPS. Alkaff Mansion Ristorante located at Telok Blangah Hill is well-known for ROM favourite pick and hosted events due to its beautiful courtyard and the structural of colonial bungalow. Suntec City is a newly opened modern bistro that offers an all-day menu featuring from salads, burgers, coffees, milkshakes and superfood juices. It’s basically what you can have in a café.
