Uptown Nasi Lemak at Telok Ayer Coffeeshop is opened by two Malaysians who grew up in Damansara Uptown, Malaysia. Online reviews mentioned that they are unable to find the same taste of Malaysian nasi lemak in Singapore. Thus, they decided to recreate the taste and dish here. SAKEMARU Artisan Sake Hideout is nestled in a shophouse along South Bridge Road is a Japanese restaurant started by the group behind SAKEMARU in early 2021. SAKEMARU is a sake subscription service in Singapore. The restaurant features curated collection of over 300+ type of sake with food menu that is available in ala carte and omakase options. The Original Vadai used to be one of the popular stalls at pasar malams. The stall has then found two permanent place to sell their vadai and other deep-fried snacks. I went to their first outlet at Golden Mile Food Centre recently. They are also available at Joo Chiat place if you are nearby. The restaurant is officially opens on 2 July 2021 that offers a combination of spacious comfort for communal dining, Yen Social Butcher Platters, and wallet-friendly premium cuts. Another special highlight is that the restaurant offers its signature in-house dry-aged Wagyu beef for grilling.
