[BEAUTY REVIEW] My Profhilo Treatment Experience with The Clifford Clinic

I have been doing Pico Laser Treatment with celebrity clinic, The Clifford Clinic from time to time to improve my pigmentation and radiance on my skin. The clinic also offers other treatments such as hair transplant, nose thread lift and fillers.

Profhilo is a non-surgical and minimally-invasive treatment that is very popular for its ability to improve aging skin. Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid (HA) injectable treatment. It is the latest treatment in the market catering to people who have tired, dull and ageing skin. As we grow older, our skin loses elasticity and sag, and this treatment is said to have skin tightening and hydration effect. With that said, I have decided to give it a try.
Profhilo Treatment
What is Profhilo®?
Profhilo Treatment-Clifford Aesthetic
Profhilo® is a 100% pure HA-based, chemical stabiliser-free product that is different from all other typical skin fillers and skin boosters as it acts via a new process: bio-remodelling of the collagen and elastin structures in the skin.

Profhilo Injection Points
The treatment consists of five injections around each side of your face. A total of 10 injections from side of the eye and nose, followed by next to the ear, outer corner of your jaw and below the side of your lip. By administering Profhilo through the 10 key points on the face, this minimizes risks to blood vessels and nerves while maximizing efficacy through diffusion.

Is The Treatment Painful?
There maybe some minor pain and discomfort during the injection. This should be minimal as the needle used is relatively thin (29g). Other than this, the treatment should be relatively painless.

How Long Does Profhilo Takes Effect?
It depends on individual. Some takes few days, a week or even a month to see the result.

What Results Can Be Expected?
 Firming, tightening and lifting effect on the skin
 Tissue and scarring repair
 Enhanced hydration
 Dewy and Plumper-looking Complexion
 No Downtime and minimal side effects

REVIEW
Profhilo Treatment-The Clifford Clinic
Profhilo Treatment-The Clifford Clinic-2
The whole treatment process was quick and smooth. First up is the application of numbing cream to take effect. I waited for approximately 20 minutes before the treatment starts. The doctor was very gentle and patient with me. The good thing about Profhilo is that I can walk out of the clinic without anyone realizing that I just did the treatment. It did hurt to be honest. The pain level is about 6/10. I was kindly given a stress ball to squeeze if I experience any discomfort. So, it was not that bad after all. The most sensitive injections were those near my lips and eyes as the skin in thinner and more sensitive.
Profhilo Treatment-The Clifford Clinic-3
There were some tiny bumps like small mosquito bites after the treatment but it went off by end of the day. I was lucky because my friend’s bumps lasted for a few days. Thus, it really depends on individual skin profile. My result can be seen as early as 1 week after the treatment, and it is said the best results seen at one month following the treatment.

One Month After The Treatment

True enough, Profhilo helps smoothen and tighten my skin. I can feel the changes after a week. It stimulates collagen production naturally and provides a deep long-lasting hydration giving the skin a glowing natural look. My skin looks hydrated, and I can feel it, especially when I wake up in the morning. My sisters also noticed the difference on my overall skin radiance.

Is Profhilo Worth It?
I would say yes and no. Reason being is that it is an effective and fancy skincare product that is injected into your skin, rather than applied on daily. The result is effective as compared to your daily skin routine. The only downside is the maintenance cost of the treatment. If you are as vain as me, then it is a Yes! So, it all boils down to your budget.
